Another year, another MSFW! It's almost like a big family reunion every time fashion week comes around and it's always awesome getting to meet new models as well as catching up with the familiar faces. No matter how many times I've walked before, It's always an amazing feeling getting to walk in Melbourne (even when you are given a gnarly side fringe thing). The only downside of walking in the Mr. Runway is the fact that I can't actually watch the damn thing! Nonetheless, I still do get to see all the collections back stage and up close and personal which is always exciting and definitely makes up for the fact I can't watch the show. Once again I was lucky enough to walk for some of my favourite Australian brands, something that I find quite humbling as many of these brands have played a major influence on my own personal style and flair.
First up, was a killer tan number from Calibre, topped off with some hectic statement sunglasses and a bamboo lapel pin. Look Two was a delightful blazer and chino pairing from MJ Bale featuring some pretty suave chocolate suede loafers. Look Three from Aquila was a simple, elegant DB paired with some black chinos and midnight leather kicks, topped off with an awesome black and white ascot. Lastly, and probably my favourite of the four looks was the closing look for Godwin Charli. I donned a geometric print blazer with a navy tunic underneath, which was matched up with some crisp white chinos.
Next week I'll be collaborating with Godwin Charli to bring you my favourite SS16 looks from their collection, so stay tuned for more warm weather suiting!
